About the Artist

Chantal Trombley Lawrence is a local artist from South Burlington , Vermont who has lived in the state all her life. She really began to take an active interest in photography after taking a few black and white courses. Like many of us, since the day she picked up a camera, she's been hooked.

Spending time travelling the state, she started seeing things that appealed to her and began actively taking photos. Covered bridges, sunsets, fall foliage or the way the sun catches the trees after an ice storm. After having some of her initial work printed, it really started to catch on locally. People would say, "you really have an eye for photography." From there she made a decision to take her photography to the next step and Vermont Splendor was born. Now with VermontSplendor.com people from all over the world can truly have an inside look at some of the most beautiful scenery Vermont has to offer. In the coming months there will be a lot of changes being made to this site so keep checking back for updates. Many of the photo's on this site are scans and do not reflect the true quality or vibrance of the her original images.

A note from Chantal:
"I really enjoy capturing different landscapes. Often, I find there are many different moods for every shot I take. In addition to nature photos, I also do some portrait photography and action photography however, mypassion always leads back to landscape photography. Most people don't get a chance to look at the beauty Vermont has throughout the state that is often hiding right below the surface. One of the most imporant things to me, is having the opportunity to show people parts of the state they wouldnt normally see through my photography."
